The page doesn't show movements with maker's names on them, because they are already identified. It is a small selection of often unidentified old movements that I have been able to positively identify. Please note that his page is not intended to be a comprehensive reference of watch movements, of which there are hundreds, possibly thousands. In 1916-1918 the company ran dramatic two-page advertisements that said its brands were "TAVANNES WATCH Co., CYMA, MYSTERIA, ENIGMA, and DIANA." This timepiece was named "La Captive," a hermetic (purse watch) fitted in a silver art deco rectangular case, designed with two flip-open doors to allow the movement to pop up. By 1913 TAVANNES employed 1,000 workers and turned out 2,500 watches a day. By 1910 TAVANNES had become one of the most important factories in Switzerland. A CYMA advertisement that said "since 1862" implied that the earliest of the companies was founded in 1862. The name is confusing because the name of the town Tavannes also appears in other company names.
